After the Fall

The game is over. My Bloodpressure is back down. The tears are dry...I will wait in anticipation for next year and the Packers playing well, and getting back in the playoffs... with much better results.  Our weather is warming up a bit, and it is almost 5.30 before it gets dark. In these dark and snowy days, I try to think of the promise of spring. All the new beginnings and the fresh smells of the gardens. Well, unless you garden with manure.....Hey! I even like that smell...Theres always something to look forward to... if you try. Just waking up every morning is a plus when you reach a mature age.... When you look out at the snow that is no longer white, but riddled with dirt, and twigs, and animal deposits, its hard to find beauty, but it can be done. There is a baby rabbit, looking for a bit of leftover birdseed., Up in the tree, see?  There is a grey squrrel cracking open an acorn he found. One, the rest of the squrrels didnt put away for harder times. Even the ice cycles hangin down from the gutters, are beautiful. Their  drip drip, a steady rythmn in your ears.  Yes, even winter can be a good thing... when you know that behind it, comes spring, and the glory of new life everywhere. Everything renews, year after year....We should also.....  Late ta
