Too good for our own good?

While there are some that should not even be sent to prison, That it would serve no purpose. I often wonder why we allow such advantages to the worst prison population. Our tax payer moneys are providing such luxuries as free weight rooms, movies, and even free education. While I am not against rehabilitation of non- violent people, that have made a mistake in their lives, and want to change for the better, I think the worst violent criminals should not enjoy life behind bars. They should not be building muscle to use against others..They should not be laughing for free at movies, or getting a free education. The public that stays out of trouble, that does not do harm to others, does not have this free chance at life...The murderers, the rapists, the child molesters, should have it as bad as they made it for others. They should not laugh in prison but weep daily...They should be reminded every day that they are there because of the horror they put on others. Leave the better things for those that are truly sorry for what they have done, or mistakes they have made. help them to start a better life outside. Make the bad prison population pay for what they have done, over and over, every day.

So sad...

My heart goes out now to all those that are suffering because one lone madman ran amok. The injured and the dead. The families of the injured and the dead..How close we all are at anytime to such madness and the results of it...My sister and her family live in that place. That place is anywhere at anytime...What causes someone to become a killer of fellow human beings, or was it always there. Inside...waiting for the moment.. I cried last night, listening to the mother of one girl, that was brought down in this hellish nightmare. I am grateful it was none of mine, but yet realize it could be, sometime, anytime...Dont waste one day...not one day...without telling someone you love them...

Bachlorette

Any of you watch this silly show? We did. the whole thing...I had my favorite bachelor and hoped she would pick him...He was tossed aside with most of the rest. The last two were led to believe she was in love with them. That they had a chance with her. They were ALL deeply in love with her...hahahahaha yah right! I like the last one she picked, and hoped she wouldn't pick the other guy...All the staging, the places they travel too, the beautiful beaches and hotels the stay in. This isn't real life...What happens then when they go back to reality...Real reality? Jobs, houses that they have to clean and fix and pay for? Sickness, and yes...trips to the doctor? I for one think that real love comes from everyday living, not fantasy living...Mornings with bed breathe, and potty runs,[ no pun intended]. Dirty clothes left on the bathroom floor, and farts wafting in the air...[ who did that?] Long silences and loud discussions...Difference of opinion, [ none on that show] and loving make up sessions. I dont doubt that we will hear in the not to distant future, that this relationship didnt work out...Ok, ok, maybe, just maybe it will....he is cute....Lil ole me

We adjust... don't we?

Its funny how easily we adjust to changes in our lives. How a small thunder shower can fill us with glee, when before we cursed just such a day. How the temperature of 80 now seems like a fall day, when before we would have thought that was so hot...Funny how we look forward to mowing grass, or working in the garden, when before we thought it such a chore...A months worth of excessive heat, and no rain, can change our perspective...Just turning off the AC for one day, and opening windows, can fill us with joy, when we know tomorrow the heat will start again. The AC will be turned on again, and the windows closed up tight. Maybe God knows that now and then we need a wake up call. We need to see that life can be rough at times, but when the good things happen we appreciate them much more. We tend to take life with our eyes shut...Walk through our days without seeing the beauty, or realizing how lucky we are to have all we have. Okay God, I get it.

Gonna be another very hot day today. We might even break a record...For those that like this summer heat, well Bless your hearts. For me its starting to wear real thin. The usual outside work that I do, is now left up to hubby.[ he likes the heat] I stay in for the most part, and do stuff that used to wait till fall, or winter. Closets, drawers, ect. Now we have to start worrying about our well going dry..We cant golf, dont want to shop...Oh well, it cant last forever, can it?

humanity at the Clinic

While sitting in the lobby waiting for hubby, I see slow walkers, wheel chairs, bandages and splints. Old people, young people, overweight and skinny. Thrown in are a few perfect weight people...So many here to find relief from what ails them. Appointments kept, and some missed. Doctors and nurses moving the folks thru as if on a conveyor belt...Next? Some people that treat their bodies as if they will live forever, no matter how they abuse it..Come here to see if whatever ails them can be fixed...Some people that take good care of themselves, surprised when all they do fails... People waiting, waiting, using their cell phones or laptops as a lifeline to the outside world...Hoping that soon they too will be part of that world, as soon as doctors can make them well...Some with smiles to know that all the tests were negative, and they can continue on there busy lives... One would think that with all the new technology, and knowledge, that less would come here, instead there seem to be more. When we finally walk out that door, into the sun, I smiled knowing that we were going to be okay for awhile more. That morning would make us smile, and we could be so glad to be alive in this goofy world...Enjoy your moments. Kiss that child, and hug your partner. Eat you vegetables, and walk a lot...Take care of this wonderful machine we walk around in...Just...Lil ole me

Okay, Okay...whoever is in control of our weather..ENOUGH please..I cannot believe how much the weather controls how we live. I feel so confined to the house while its so very hot out...Everything we do has to be done in the early morning hours. I need to breathe..to feel a breeze blowing on my skin. No, not this hot air balloon we are living in. We also need nice steady rain to fall on our parched ground...I watched the other day, as the birds flew into the spray, coming from the waterer connected to the hose. they bathed with joy in the puddles...Wisconsin is not used to this heat and dryness. We are green and soft and comfy...We are cool breezes and rainy afternoons. We are thunderstorms, and lightning, that at times can scare the bejeesus out of us...I would even go for a bit of scared right now, if it meant I could feel alive and cool... I was surprised this am, to see a small, green, garden snake among my potato plants. I think he too was making his food trip while it was still coolish...Im thinking...how did we ever get along without AC,s...Maybe we were better able to cope back then. Now we are getting too used to being in comfort all the time. Have no more cazonies for hardship...Oh well, I did my hard time...Enough! Enough I say...Late Ta, lil ole me
