Saturday and I feel good....like I knew that I would now...

Good morning!!!!! We had some rain last night, and sure don't need anymore of that wet stuff...Just so it gets it out of its system before Ryan's party next Saturday. Ill have tons to do to get ready for that....Nate and Tyler were here for supper last night, and to gather together more tin and iron. Their making good money on it,, so its all good....I love those two so much. They even helped clear the table. Today I think Irv and I will go to Legends to check out lessons for his golf slice. Then If we can find a golf course that isn't under water, we might go golfing.... Speaking of that.....I bought Jack a tiny golf set...It has a driver a putter, and a wood. tees, and balls. So cute...Ill make a golfer out of him yet...
Well, the yard is full of dandylions heads again. Ugly but almost gone....Makes mowing seem like an exercise of futility...When did I get enamoured of a nice lawn? I don't know, but I love seeing it all cut and green and beautiful. Well, maybe when the dandylions are gone it will be...Hopefully I'll be able to plant the tomatos, peppers and cukes this week....If and that's a big IF, it drys up a bit.... Okay, I'll drink my coffee and then get this party started....You all have a great day, ya here?????

TGIF

I love Fridays, don't you? The work week is over and Irv will be home for the weekend. Golfing hopefully on Sat....Us girls golfed at Ridges yesterday and wow that's a hard course. Fun tho. Had some rain last night so no outside work today...Instead Ill go to Marshfield and shop. I have to get some groceries and maybe go to Menards for sand for Jacks sandbox. Maybe wally world for a couple tops. Stop at legends golf shop to ask about lessons...Then home to vacuum and stuff.....run run run.... Christy's planning for Ryan's party now so Ill help with what I can. I pray the weather is good that weekend....Lets see....sunny and 75 would be great. Ill put in an order for that. Im so excited about seeing my Illinois family then and especially Jackson, that little red headed sweetheart....

Thursday and all is well...

Took some Valerian last night and actually slept through the night..... Yahoo!!!! I had a very productive day yesterday. Mowed lawn and weed eated. I got the carrots planted, some cabbage and cauliflower. Beans and corn....When I get home from golfing this morning I might decide to go ahead and put in tomatoes , marigolds and peppers....We'll see....Id sure like to be done with that....Tomorrow its supposed to rain so Ill stay in and do some deep cleaning. That suffers a bit when I have all the outside to do....This may be my last golf outing with the girls as Jill's boys will be out of school and she wont be able to get away. It sure has been fun though while its lasted....I hope Irv wants to golf again sat. No I cant get enough.....
I'm so tired of politics and doom and gloom news. Its good to work in the soil or get out in the fresh air with the girls. Stupid news....you just hear the same ole same ole.....I hope you all find ways of enjoying life and having fun now and then.....

Whew! Glad that night is over...

Sleep refused to come last night, even though I was very tired, from outside garden work all day. Those kind of nights are not fun...Now this am I have a headache....poopy!
Today's plans are to go get carrot seeds, the only ones I didn't have...plant them and then water the onions, potatoes, radishes and turnips I planted yesterday.....It didn't freeze like they said last night, but it did frost some, so its still too early to plant the tomatoes and stuff....The rest of the day will be spent mowing and weed eating. Going golfing with the girls tomorrow morning, and the rain may move in so I have to get it all done today....I hope....


Another busy day ahead but I like it that way.....

Back to work days....

The holidays are over and its back to the mundane work days. I'm heading to Julies greenhouse today to get the rest of my vege plants. Tomatoes, peppers, etc. Potato and onion sets. Oddly enough its gonna be a very cold night tonite but I CAN plant the root crops. We went to irvies yesterday, to see his boat that hes working on. I got to spend time with Tyler, heather and Nate. That's always nice. Bought heather and I a pair of summer shoes. Buy one get one 1/2 at pay less......Love that store....

Hello again~

Been very busy of late. Went golfing with two Irvs on Friday afternoon. Went to Ryan's grad on sat morning..... I'm so proud of him, but at the same time, miss the little boy I helped raise. The one that needed me for things...Now I just need him.... Hes on his own this weekend as Dean and Chris and Roo are off camping. Hope hes behaving with all this freedom...I did talk to him this morning. He sounded fine.... Later yesterday Irv and I went golfing again but did 18 holes this time....Had a good time...... Today I mowed some and he tilled the garden area.....Rest time now. I hope their wrong about the storms today...So far so good...Have a great night......

What a night!!!!

The last night of Idol was a powerhouse. David Cook took it handily, and was very emotional. It was sweet when his mom and brother came up to hug him. The music was good and it was fun to see all the final 12 perform again. I for one, am so glad he won. Altho David A. is a very good singer, I don't believe hes ready to be in the spotlight, as he would be if he won Idol. I truly think it was his personality, or lack of, that hurt him in the end...Good show all around.....
Now today I have to go get another smoke alarm as ours is shot....makes me nervous to go to sleep without one.. then home to finish the grass seeding and mowing. Irv's talking about going golfing Friday and maybe sat......yahoo!!!!!!! maybe this year I can actually improve....
There's a nest in the new birdhouse Laurie bought me. I don't know if its a bluebird nest or not but at least a bird is using it. Sure didn't take long....Ill check for eggs later on. Hope there blue.... So tonight starts, So you think you can dance. Another show I love. Except for that female judge that screeches all the time.....Why? why?
ya know? I think the reason I watch all this mind numbing entertainment is.........Theres so much gloom and doom on the news! I just need to be away from it for a few hours. Don't you? Laugh, cry, its good for your heart.....enjoy....

Morning all who read....I had a great day yesterday, yes I did....Went golfing with Jill and Di and believe it or not, the weather was perfect again! I think we did a bit better also...At any rate is was a bunch af fun and we finished on time for the girls to get back to their duties. Love it!
I made homemade pizzas for Dean and Jeff and Irv, Pierogies for roo and a low fat choc. pie for dessert. I also made two loaves of Vienna bread....Went very well. The guys visited while I watched Idol and hung out with my roo.... Chris will be coming home from California, later today....

Today I will pay a few more bills and water outside plants and mow lawn. Get things ready for the weekend. I have to find mulch for the grass seed also....hmmmmm, I wonder if pine needles work? I have lots of them....
Ok now, Christy Yamaguchi won DWTS last night and the two Davids sang for the last time on Idol. I was disappointed in David Cook's choices. It didn't seem like he tried hard enough. His voice range is much better then what he gave out last night. JMO....David A. went all out and sang his heart out. He chose all three slow songs and one that he sang before but he moved me. I'm of the thought that he WILL win tonite. I was hoping it would be David Cook. Well, we,ll see.

Yup! I'm off to golf again this morning. Its a bit cool out, but that's okay. I sure hope I do better today though.....I got all the shrubs planted yesterday... Whew! what a job....Now just so they all grow and thrive with all the work I put in it....I have to get some more grass seed for the rest of the lawn there....
Gas went up again.....3.89. I'd be willing to bet it will reach $4.00 by the weekend. What ya gonna do????? Good thing I'm a busy body....I just called to wish roo a good day at school and deans alarm hadn't gone off. Hope they make it in time... Maybe he'll drive her. With Christy gone I just want to make sure all's well over there......

Monday

Boy those weekends sure go fast....I tried posting this am but something went awry and I lost all my words... Here I am now to try again. I spent 4 1/2 hours digging holes and planting shrubs....Whew! what a job. Had to haul 4 wheel barrows of clay soil away....Put some grass seed in part of it but I have to buy more before I can finish.....
Di called, Jill wants to golf in the morning IF it doesn't rain. Hope my back is okay.....I should practice a bit..... Oh well, back to my dishes... I don't seem to have as much time for this blog now.....Ah, you know.......how that is.... your busy too....Late-ta.....
