travel time

Were heading down to Lauries this morning. I cant wait to see Jack and hug that sweet baby. He going to be 3 in a couple days, can you believe it? The roads shoild all be clear now so the trip should go good. We,ll be back on monday.
Laurie said her house smelled like skunk. EWWWWWWWW, They had to call an exterminator to get them out from under their deck. Maybe I should wear a clothspin on my nose. I have to make some sandwiches for the trip. Finish packing the bag and get dressed. You all have a great weekend now, see ya when I get back...Late Ta.

Here it comes again!!!!

The snow that is....We get one day of 40 melting weather and then whammo!!! Another snow storm hits. Talking 7 to 10 inches for us between now and tomorrow morning. Soooooo, we've decided to go down to Lauries on sat morning instead of friday. Give the roads a chance to thaw.... Nate came last night for pizza supper. His request. That guy is the sweetest. Im so proud of who he is....I hope life is good to him as he sure deserves it....
Had a long talk with Deano yesterday on the phone. I mean LONGGGGGGGG. Hes another good man...See? they are out there.
Well lets see. Today I,ll clean some cubboards and drawers and wait for the storm to move in with dread. I swear, yesterday it sounded so much like spring outside. Monday

The sun is up bright and beautiful. I love the sun....love it, even if its cold out, and it is.......Our weekend went pretty good. The bowling was fun, and dinner was super good. The drive home not so good though, as the road was very crappy in spots. I made it though, and I guess the lesson was good for me. I can't always hide from life.... Laurie did make her flight, and will be back to her home today. I'll bet it's hard coming back to cold when you were in Florida temps...

Today its bread making, linen changing, excersising, laundry, ect. The usual Monday stuff. I got Jacks gifts all wrapped and ready to go. I sure hope he likes this digger we got him. Looks like a ton of fun to me... The turkeys are coming into the yard again. Starting to annoy me a bit.....Darned vultures! Guess I should stop feeding them huh?

snowy saturday...

But of course it had to snow last night. WE have plans to go bowling and to dinner with about 18 people for our anniversary and Anns birthday. Now the roads will probably be slippery and its a 35 minute drive. You know I hate driving on slippery roads. Maybe later it will thaw, or maybe Dean will drive us in his car....Lots of maybes....Laurie thought her flight to Florida from Chicago might be canceled this morning. They were supposed to get a lot more then us. Winter rearing its ugly head once again.....
Yes, 49 years married to the same guy. Took 30 years to get to understand each other and learn to give, not take. To stop being selfish, and care about the others welfare. I hope we have a lot more now to actually enjoy....Can you hear me God? Here come the Doves and chickadees in for breakfast. Turkeys too....What a manageri!!!!

digital world

Yup, now we are all digital tv. I didn't think I would be able to get it in, but this morning I ran a new scan on my old tv in the dining room, and voil'a there it was. We have satellite in the living room and bedroom but I didn't want that in my dining room. If a lot of rain comes, the sattelite goes out. This way I'll still have digital to watch. Boy, was I happy to see it working. I watch the morning news here, so I would really miss it.

A storm is supposedly brewing out west. They expect it to get here sometime tonite and tomorrow. 2 to 6 inches and windy....pppppppuuuuuuuu! Just when we were starting to see the earth again. Oh well such is life in wis...

Friday....all day..

Another day without snow...yahoo! We lost alot of the old snow with the warm temps here...I can actually see the ground in places. Which! means I can also see the twigs and branches that come down every winter. Which means Ill have that big job to do this spring. Same thing every year, and then again whenever it gets real windy. Dont plant willows folks! Im also not crazy about all the turkey poop on the ground. I hope the spring rains turn that all into fertilizer.....

Im off today to look for a birthday gift for Jack. Watch those comments now!!!! I had wanted to go to Wausau, but no one else can go and I really dont want to go all alone. Marshfield will have to do....unless I can't find what I want for him. He,s special, dont ya know......I also have to get an anniversary card for Irv and a birthday card for ann.

My food program is working good. Ive lost 7 pounds and 3 inches off my waist. Yes, I had that much to spare and a bit more. 5 more pounds will make me real happy....Its amazing what you can do when you really get serious about it. Like, how bad do you want this? Is it worth the work? Can you be disiplined enough? HELL YAH !! !!! This is my last big hurdle to get over and then Ill have won the trophy. Well maybe not the last, Thats Gods choice, but the ones I wanted to get over in my life....Drinking, gone...Smoking...gone...Weight...almost gone....yay!!!! I am woman watch me roar!!!!!!! Spring is sorta here...

Good morning world...I've decided that no one is reading this but me, so that means that I can write anything I want! It really DOES feel like spring out there today. 42 degrees and windy like March. Kites anyone? Unfortunately, theres not a lot you can do outside, as its wet and slippery on the melting snow. Ice skates might help, if one was so inclined...I think the real spring is not that far away now....baited breath......
I'm wondering here......do ya think crime will go way up now, that so many are out of work? If it gets worse for a lot of folks, will they steal to get food and gas? I was'nt around, or at least, don't remember the depression. Did they turn to crime then? Did you know, there are people that are hoarders at times like this. They live in fear of their next meal. They worry that others will try to take whats theres...Yes, its true...Ok, Ok. So I have a few supplys laid by. Just in case.... No! I'm not telling you where I live! OH! And I have a gun....

I quit!!!!!

Bowling that is...We went yesterday with Irv and Ann, Harry and Barb, Dean and Chris and Randy. Now most of them bowled the customary way, down the center of the lane....Oh NO not me.....My ball went helter skelter every which way! It came off my fingers like it had glue on it...No matter what I tried to change, it just wasnt going to work. This was highly embarrassing as I used to be able to bowl a decent score. I never got over 100 yesterday in all 3 games....Enough! Enough I say! If it continues to warm up perhaps I can go golfing instead...Not yet? Oh shoot!!!!
It sure was great being with everyone though......

Today is sit on my butt and do nothing day...Yah right suz...Thats gonna happen...I have to make bread and go to the store and and and....June had me join facebook. Not sure If Ill stay on there tho, seems kinda silly to me and..........I heard on the news that people are stealing identities from there...I have enough trouble knowing who I am sposed to be, without someone else being me too...... TGIF

Yah its friday. Another week come and gone. We got home from Delavan at about 1.30 yesterday. Its always so good to get home, although those trips tire me out for some reason. Todays its back to my excercising and food plan. I have to take my red baby in to have her tires rotated and oil changed. Its her keep well program for cars...
We got to see Irvs sister Esther while we were down there. She came to Arlenes and we played the card game golf. They play it different then we do, but it was fun anyhow...It was good to spend some time with her....I was very surprised that Irvs mom was up to the game and everything....We both feel better about her now....

Now to make plans to go down for Jacks 3rd birthday,,,For those that dont know...Hes our great grandson and we adore him.....Totally! Good weather today! 39? maybe, just maybe 40.....Yippee!!!!! Trip

We're heading down to Irvs moms this morning. She,s not well so we,ll stay till tomorrow. The weather is sposed to be good for traveling. Its always so hard to visit someone that isn't well. What do you say to them to make them feel better? Do they wish you would just leave them alone? Maybe I can do some work for her while I,m there...
Marissa was here after school yesterday. She finished up my puzzle in a flash and then worked on the graphics on neopets website. This girl has a talent for that stuff thats for sure. Like her dad it just comes natural to her. Theres good money in graphics so she might travel that path as she gets older....Its still so good to have one grandkid coming here after school. Wont be long and that will stop tho, as she iS a teen now.... I LOVE kids........period!
