Is this true?
Is it true that many, many women find their identity in how they look? Is it true that if we are 10 pounds or more overweight, that we have an issue with our mirrors, and how we feel about ourselves? Is it true that younger and younger girls are dieting and starving themselves, to lose a few pounds, because they think they HAVE to? Who,s to blame for this situation and the fact that its getting worse not better? The ads and shows on tv, that push the skeleton look, are part of the problem...Moms and other female relatives that are in a constant battle with the mirror is part of the problem. Now the truth is...that many, many, young people are really overweight and feel so bad about themselves....A slower lifestyle and games that allow inactivity are part of it....The bombardment of food commercials every few minutes on tv, are part of the problem. Too many fast food resturants are part of the problem...What can we do about it? Make sure our girls have confideance in who they are, regardless of what they weigh. Make sure that we as parents, show that we are okay, just the way we are, but encourage and have, healthy eating habits and healthy excersise habits...Get the kids off the couch and outside during their free time. Go out with them if you can, and run and play and be young...if you can...Introduce fruit and veges into their diets, and keep the junk off the shelves...At my age one would think I could sit back and relax. Thats not a good thing at all, so I,m trying hard to eat right and excersise and get outside and enjoy mother nature....Being overweight or underweight is not necessary if you live a good lifestyle....Lets get healthy!!!! lets help our young people.....Late Ta!
