Life as I know it?

Feeling a bit rattled today. These manuevers by our government, disturb my mind, and I worry about folks like me that dont quite GET it....At times I feel like a puppet on a string that is pulled in every direction without a brain. Here we sit now waiting for something to happen. Waiting to see if our lives will get better or worse. Weve gotten to big and too complicated, and money and credit flows like wine. Some people abuse it and overuse this and then we end up in big trouble like we are right now....Wall street, [ who gets that?] is a mess and because of a Jewish holiday, our men in black are not in office watching out for our interests. { did they ever} Hold your breath folks, its gonna be a bumpy ride......Late Ta

Monday....again????

GOOD MORNING WORLD!!!!! I had a odd weekend. We golfed 18 holes on saturday and did well, after which we went to Charlies for dinner. I had soup and a salad and during the night got nausea and didnt feel too good. [ Food poisening?] All day sunday I felt bad off and on, but went to golf 9 more holes with Dean and Chris. Had a bad start but finished well... Today I seem to be fine.....Egads, I sure hope so anyhew.....
Its raining this am but the ground needs it badly. This will excuse me from cleaning out the garden for today. I need to make bread and do laundry. Do some banking, [ the bank is still functioning I guess.]
I was very proud of Obama during the debate. He was very strong and dignified in the onslaught of [ You just dont understand] from McCain. Maybe finally we,ll have someone that really cares about the people of the United States. Maybe our voices are finally being heard. Nough said.....
Thought for the Day, Did you ever notice that when you put the 2 words "The IRS" together it spells Theirs?

Friday......all day

Good morning. Its 5.02 am and another week has come and gone. Temps should rise to 80 today, the end of Sept....believe it! Irv just left for work after a nice warm kiss goodbye. Politics are starting to get on my last nerve. Its all so complicated and back stabbing and lies. One doesnt know what to believe. Now a former indorser of Palin, has asked her to quit the race. This women said after watching the interviews of Palin by different people, That she is out of her league. I've always known that! And the polls!!!!! Well just for get abouittttt.
Marissa DID come here after school yesterday. We played a golf dice game, [she won]. Then she played on the keyboard and I danced. Well calling THAT dancing is like calling a bird a pig... I totally enjoyed her presence and beautiful face. Today its clean house and open windows maybe one more day before it turns too cool....My body feels winter coming already. Thurs.

Morning folks, its a cool morning here in wisconsin and the furnace is running. Its gonna warm up signifigently later though. A lady beetle made his self known last night in the living room, so even though I was hoping they were a thing of the past.......not to be, I guess.
I am suffering from the empty nest syndrom....again! Marissa,s appearances here after school are coming to a halt. Oh, she says she'll be here today after school, but maybe she'll change her mind and go right home. She has that right at almost 14, and I almost understand, but it doesnt make it easier to give up my private time with her. After 18 yrs of care giving, 14 to Ryan and 13 to her, its so hard to give it up. I will try to be stoic and find other things to fill my lonely heart. If it were just me I would get a puppy. But.....Irv lives here too and he doesnt want the bother. You know the , what do we do with it when we go away? Who will clean up the messes while training? Vet bills, food bills, potty runs in the dead of winter? Ok, OK, I changed my mind!!!!!
Today its pray for our countrys recovery, work outside later and hope for a visit from roo[ marissa] after school. Ill bake her some choc. chip cookies.... You all have a Blessed day. Late ta......

Can't keep up!

New technology! No' I cant seem to keep up with the fast changing times. Just about the time you think your on the ball, they come up with the latest gadget or high tech thing, and there I am, at the back of the line. Now, as you can see, I have some knowledge of computers and can even Blog, but then I won a laptop on E bay and don,t even know how to connect it to the internet. Oh, I'm sure with time I could figure it out but whew! Then theres the high def tv's and digital boxes and DVD players and cell phones that can do everything but cook dinner! I don't like being left in the dust but wow, theres a lot to keep up with. The changes come faster then I can type.....I guess Ill just try to be content with older models......after all, I am one...... Late Ta...

Fall has arrived.

Today at 11 am as a matter of fact. It doesnt seem fall like tho. Its going to be warm again today. Thats okay with me. I like the 70s. I have tons of outside work to do and its nice weather for that.
We had a wonderful time with Laurie and Jeff this weekend. Us girls went shopping on sat and then the whole group went out to dinner for Jeffs birthday. Then back to Christys for a round or two of Sequence...Jeff and I were partners and lost every game. I was very tired tho and didnt play my best...Sunday us girls went to a craft show in Rapids. I got some sweet birdhouses for my porch collection. The guys all did there own thing.....Politics was a topic of converstion often for us girls...Thank God we are all in agreement or it could get hot....
Today its back to work as usual, well at least my work is here at home....Late Ta....

Wow! What a day

When I came home from town yesterday, I installed a new cordless keyboard and mouse. Then I couldnt get internet explorer to work....AAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRGGGGG! Well after hours of working with support guys on the phone to no avail, I ran a virus check. Lo and behold my pc was full of adware and a virus......It appears it was from [ my web search]. The talk is that this has been happening more and more to a lot of folks....I got it all taken care of and now am up and running again....Boy it was scary for a bit....I'm really attached to this pc, dont ya know....From now on Im deleting all my tracks and running ad aware and spy ware often....Be careful folks...it CAN happen to you.....Late Ta....
