Tuesday morning...

Hello peeps, Wow, did I sleep last night...Went in at 7.30 and slept pretty good till 6.30 am. Not used to those late nights we had over the weekend. It was so great being with the kids though. Jack was adorable and fun and I'm so glad I have a good relationship with the little fella. Hes a bright, funny, loving boy. Thank you Shanna for him....
I worked my butt off yesterday catching up on the garden, lawn, laundry, house, etc. Today I'm taking Roo to town. Ill take her to StevenBarrys. She got stung sat. by a wasp. It stung her on the nose and she swelled up real bad. Shes better now, but WOW! She really has to be careful as shes so allergic. I also have to get ready for the laying of my new kitchen floor on Friday. I will be very happy when its all done...

Thurs.

Well, Ryan is 18 today. Frankly, I still see him in my living room playing imaginary games with grampa, while I videotape the whole scene. I'm so glad now that I did that, because I can go back in time now that hes grown. Tomorrow is his party and we will all be together once again.
I pulled my knee yesterday...Ouch!!!! Moving furniture like a teenager. I'm supposed to weed eat today so that COULD be a problem. oh well what is......is....

A mama deer and her twins were just walking down the road...cute little buggers, but they were too far away for a pic...Deer, turkeys, rabbits, all with their young..I love living out here.

I'm off to town this morning to get the food makings for Ryan's party. Late ta....

If you haven't had a home gas fill up yet this year, your in for a sticker shock. They came and filled my tanks and it was over 700.00 for one fill. The house and the shop. Whew! Right now I'm glad that Irv is still working or we would be in dire need. So now with the grocery shock and the gas shock, I can see we are definitely in a recession...I feel so bad for those that don't have enough money to get them through this. I'm thankful that I raise vegetables and can them. Maybe I'll stop clothes shopping and invest that money in supplies instead. Right now I'm gonna go make some bread and think about much more pleasant things, like..............THE WEEKEND!!!!!!!!Shanna, Josh, Jack!!!!!! Laurie and Jeff and a birthday party for Ryan.......Yah..... Late ta....

Sleepy tuesday.

Oh my God, I'm soo tired. Got little or no sleep last night. Don't ask.... I'm taking roo to lunch and the movies so I hope I can stay awake for that.....Making bread right now and have to try to mow when I get home. Laurie and Jeff and dani, Shanna and Josh and Jack, [ yayyyyyyyyyy] are coming up this weekend. Were going to celebrate Ryan's 18th birthday. He'll be moved out by then and I'm helping supply some needed food and toiletry items for his place. He,s sharing living space with two other guys in Pittsville. My heart hurts at this latest excursion into adulthood. I know, I know......This is all just part of life and growing but that doesn't stop the worry and wishing they could stay small and need me forever....Nough said.

The laundry is in the washer and roo and I are going to the bookstore and wal-mart. I miss her and want to see that beautiful smiley face of hers. Later today I will finish the housework as its tooooooo wet to do outside stuff. Jer called here last night at 9ish. Funny I must not have heard the phone as I was in bed with the air on. Loud as it is....Hope hes okay and theres nothing wrong....Just called him...Hes fine and dandy. I love my bro very much....Gotta go...Late ta....

Too early saturday

Oh for pete's sake. What am I doing up so early? Getting to be a habit here. I long for the ole days, when I could sleep all night, and still sleep in of a morning. But then I would miss a lot. The sunrise, if it can be seen through the thunderclouds. Early birds singing there morning wake up song. Being first to hear the news of the morning, be it good or bad. And.....just the quiet of the day, when you don't feel pressured to get out and get moving. Yah, I like early morning....Today its haul branches, and maybe mow, if its dry enough out there. Hopefully later this aft, we will get to go golfing. Maybe Irvie will go too. Not sure if ann is working or not...
Looked out the window and caught a rabbit chewing on my johnny jump ups...What a nerve and a half!!!!I should start shooting them. They have been multiplying faster then I can count. 2 4 6 8 .....I wouldn't mind so much if they'd do there share of work around here, but nooooo, they just have sex, sex, sex...Enough I say!!!!Okay Im going now. Gonna drink coffee with Irv and discuss our 401k that isn't growing....Our kitchen floor redo, and the moving of the frig and stove....BIG JOB!!!! Friday...Wheres thursday?

Okay, so I forgot Thursday...sue me.. I have a dilemma. Were going to redo the kitchen floor in a couple weeks and that means moving the frig and stove so the guys can lay the vinyl unimpeded. I will have to empty the frig and freezer, so what do I do with all the food? Ill have to fill coolers I guess and get lots of ice. Then there's the fact that poor Irv will have to move these things and their not light. Someone help me figure out a good way to move them without too much hassle or pain for Irving...I'll have to clean back there and god only knows whats all under there. Oh come on!!!!How many of you pull them out once a year to clean? I'll be so glad to get some new flooring in though...

Property tax time again...WE think we own our homes...Just try not paying your taxes once. I wonder what our state or county does with all that money? They barely cut the sides of the road... barely! We live on a dusty dirt road that's only graded occasionally. Oh well, Ill pay them and enjoy what I DO have...Insert smiley face here....Maybe Ill get to do some yard work today. Supposed to clear up...YAY!!!!!!!Late ta.....
